President's Message

As a cutting tool manufacturer, we will respond to market needs quickly to enhance customer satisfaction.

Since our establishment in April 2003 as a highly active company specializing in cutting tools, we have supplied a variety of high quality products
and services to customers both inside and outside Japan. Our current product line includes cutting tools and optical components for use in laser
processing machines. Typical examples of our cutting tools are cemented carbide tools "IGETALLOY" and CBN sintered powder-metal tools
"SUMIBORON".
Customer demands for quality and quantity of cutting tools are changing more and more rapidly and widely in each country. Since the Lehman Shock
in the fall of 2008, in particular, markets in China and other developing countries have been growing rapidly. A Green New Deal in each country has
also accelerated structural changes on a paradigm shift scale. To respond to such structural changes in a
timely manner, in April 2009 our company transferred the businesses of corporate development,domestic and overseas
sales, and marketing and logistics management to Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd. (our parent corporation).
The objective of this business decision was so we could focus on development and production of new products,
new technologies and innovative manu- facturing know-how and thereby establish a further advanced agile
business system.
I became president of the company one year after the transition to the new regime.
I will compel our business units to stand together to further concentrate our business activities from the
customer's perspective. In practice, we will develop and supply the very best technologies and services to
our customers in order to increase customer satisfaction and contribute to the development of society.
