Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd. (head office: Chuo-ku, Osaka, President: Osamu Inoue, hereafter "our company") has newly developed and launched the high-efficiency, high-feed roughing cutter "SEC-Sumi Dual Mill DMSW Type" and high-strength H Type chipbreaker for sale as of December 2021.
In recent years, industries such as automobile, aerospace, shipbuilding, industrial machines and die mold etc., are increasingly in need of tools specialised for high-efficiency machining.
In response to these needs, our company has been marketing the SEC-Sumi Dual Mill DMSW Type since June 2021. We now offer a newly developed shell type cutter body, with a maximum diameter of ø125mm and up, and a high-strength H Type chipbreaker, suitable for hardened steel machining. With these product expansions, the applicable range of the SEC-Sumi Dual Mill DMSW Type has also been extended.

The high-strength H Type chipbreaker has a large wedge angle cross-section which provides high cutting edge strength, applicable to heavy and heavy interrupted cutting of steel, stainless steel, and cast iron, achieving longer and more stable tool life.
