Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd. (head office: Chuo-ku, Osaka, President: Osamu Inoue, hereafter "our company") has developed and launched the SEC-Wave Radius Mill RSC series for high-efficiency milling, for sale as of November 2025.
When machining difficult-to-cut materials and high-hardness materials used in components for aircraft, generators and molds etc., high-efficiency and stable machining is required in order to improve productivity. In response to these needs, our company has developed the new SEC-Wave Radius Mill RSC series.
This product realises high efficiency through high-speed milling by incorporating two coolant holes near the cutting edge, to suppress insert temperature rise.
In addition to the ACU2500 grade, which is applicable to a variety of work materials, the lineup also includes ACS1000/ACS2500/ACS3000 coated carbide grades, ideal for machining titanium alloys, heat-resistant alloys and stainless steel.
By optimizing the cutting edge shape, stable milling of exotic alloys with longer tool life can be achieved.
We will continue to leverage on cutting-edge technology to meet the machining needs across a wide range of industries and contribute to improving our customers' productivity.
