Beam Shaper

A beam shaper is an element that a single-mode beam is converted into a flattop beam, a ring-mode beam or a ring + center mode beam. This is effective in cutting, welding, drilling, patterning.
They are ready that a single element type included condenser lens function and a non-focus unit. It is selectable an aspheric type and DOE (Diffractive Optical Elements) type on demand of beam shape. It is acceptable to shape not only circular but a square or a line by DOE type.

Features A flattop beam is formed with a single element. The flattop diameter is uniquely determined by the element. The formed flattop beam is collimated by using a phase compensation lens, which, in combination with a mask Imaging, provides excellent steepness with uniform intensity. The combination with a focusing lens causes a flattop beam to be formed at the focal position of the focusing lens. Changing the focal length of the focusing lens changes the flattop diameter.

Features A flattop beam with a rectangle or line shape is formed with a single element. The flattop shape is determined uniquely by the element. The combination with a focusing lens causes a rectangle or line shaped flattop beam to be formed at the focal position of the focusing lens. Changing the focal length of the focusing lens change the ratio of the shape. The combination with a focusing lens reduces the peak intensity of the beam at the focal position, which achieves the long focal depth.
